So, where I work, the people (100) all have different types of positions and jobs. there are the ones who drive around, ones who supervise them. ones who answer phones and ones who supervise them, ones who have other jobs ... these people are on the first floor. on the second floor are those who are more in charge make the decision and so on. the floor 1 people have decided the floor 2 people are not good people and they never tell us when food is brought in, etcetera. this week in particular was really tough and I am still mad about it. the other day my boss was out. they called him over the intercom. i called downstairs, told them he was out and is there anything i could do? no, someone brought in pastry's for him, i said, oh, just bring them up and put them on his desk. and I quote this person, 'What! and let you eat them all yourself!"
I took a deep breath and said 'did you call him"? he said yes, I said well you should text him. and i left it at that.
this angered me.
oh and then this happened the next day
hey boss, did they tell you you got pastries?
No, when.
yesterday, they said (his name) called you.
oh, what was it?
Pastries from (store they got them from)
Oh, my Cuz said she was going to send something! she called and i missed her call. who was it that called upstairs.
it was (name of person)
oh, i missed his call too, (he chuckled)
Custodian chimed in, oh I tossed an empty (name of store ) box out this morning.
boss looked at him and said , oh well i would have left them downstairs anyway.
So my boss is a very kind person. very kind hearted. he did nothing. i get it. there are bigger things.
I get it. But really, this behavior ... I will never ever understand how anyone would not ask someone permission to eat food or take something that does not belong to them. they NEVER told him he got a package ... rude. rude... rude.
the consequence is 1 the person who sent it will never get a proper thank you
2. you insulted me and I will not forget it. totally uncalled for.
3 you never said anything to the (person receiving the gift)
4. you ate all the pastries without permission from the recipient.
shame on you. it is just wrong.....

Today my boss and my old boss were joking and I called my new boss 'new boss' hahaha
he asked when he was going to not be called the new boss. and then I told him my story of the 'new girl' oh, there is much more of this person.
So when I started working here, let's call this one ASH. well ASH would always complain that I took the place of the (girl who didn't score well on the civil service test and I got her job) Pest. So, for the next Ten years I was called 'the new girl' i would get mail marked 'name of company' atten: new girl. seriously for ten years. Ash was not a bad person, he just did not know how to act around women, neither did most of the men.
I then told him (new boss) about my experience with one of the more ...ummm ... shall we say casanova's in the building. he was quite the flirt to this day. haha. So, our fax was in a part of the building where a lot of people were, and i was using it one day. with my back to the people, i could feel someone behind me, very very close. so i said with as much aggression as i could muster. 'if you come any closer I will kick you so hard you will be chewing on your balls' he backed off and started giggling... yeah.. he left me alone after that.
These events above happened in 1996-2000 in fact i may still have some of the notes i will have to look. sigh. The environment has changed somewhat.
