Catch up day!
On January 22, 2014 I had lunch with Mom and Dad. As dad was preparing lunch i asked mom if she was excited that Anna was coming over, she looked at me and shook her head yes. Mom doesn't talk much, in fact she is very quiet. Her sister (twin) is concerned as this is not like her. This is the second sister that has suffered with Alzheimers.
So as we finished lunch i asked dad about his folks, he said his dad (Stirling David ) was born in Prince Edward Island in Canada. The Bowls Brothers where his cousins, they all grew up together, so they were first cousins. Dad said he met Mrs Bowls for the first time in the 1960's, after his father (SD) passed away he (dad) and his mother (Sarah Evelyn) started going to PEI every year. The Bowls brothers were farmers, and also fished, then they got into the motorization ...... This conversation was interrupted as Anna arrived to visit with mom. She is so special, she comes twice a week and talks and plays cards and tries to do other things. It gives Dad time to do things like go out to lunch with the boys, which is where he went today. He lunches with John Baraldi and that crew. I will write about it eventually.
